The College, Career & Technology Academy is a countywide alternative school of choice in the El Paso Independent School District for
 young adults from age 17 to 26. CCTA gives students an opportunity to complete graduation requirements for 
a recommended high school diploma while allowing students the flexibility to attend to personal life events.

Classes are available in the morning and afternoon, and provide a one-to-one ratio
 of computers to students, allowing students to participate in on-line classes for credit recovery and acceleration through Odyssey virtual coursework.

Technology will be integrated into the curriculum to ensure 21st Century skills are promoted and students are prepared for technology used in higher education and the workforce.

THE FIRST OF IT'S KIND

The Winchester House is a transitional living center for former foster youth and homeless males between the ages of 18-25. The goal is to provide a safe and stable living environment for these young adults to acquire the skills necessary to live on their own. 

The Winchester House focuses on six core-competencies:

  • Life Skills
  • Education/Training
  • Job Readiness
  • Health
  • Documentation
  • Housing

 

Through these competencies, the individual will learn to be more competent and self-sufficient.
