Hello My Name Is...

Mark Harris

Hello, and welcome to my webpage!  My name is Mark Harris, and I have been teaching English Literature here in the EPISD for the past 13 years.    I am a proud graduate of Coronado High School, and have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a Minor in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso.  Go T-Birds and Miners!!

I have taught English I and II (freshmen and sophomores) in the past, and am currently teaching English III and IV (juniors and seniors).  My teaching philosophy revolves around two basic creeds: 1) Always follow the Golden Rule (treat others as you would like to be treated), and 2) You will only get out of a class what you put into it (effort is equal to success).  I absolutely love literature, and my goal is to create within my students that same energy and excitement for the written word.

We are on an A/B Block schedule this year.  My current class schedule is as follows:

“A” Days:

 8:45 – 10:15                1st Period         (Odyssey Online Classes – English 1-4)
